If you're a PR, marketing, HR, financials specialist, or a startup founder who needs to make a pitch deck, you just have to make presentations as a part of your working routine. Though, most people can't stand it, as it takes a lot of time, and the results don't always look that nice. Is there any way to facilitate the process of presentation creation? Do you really need to hire a designer for making a presentation? And how can you make a nice-looking presentation without a specialist? Let's find out.

  1. Crello

Crello offers you a range of free modern templates. Of course, you can customize them: change pictures, delete / add text, change the order of the slides etc.

As for the pricing, you can use the free version of Crello, but the number of downloads is limited, the background removal feature is unavailable, and there's no opportunity to add collaborators to your presentation.

In case you want to download the presentation, the file format is pdf, which means animation won't be depicted, and you can't edit the presentation using another software.

  1. Canva

Canva is another popular website with a range of presentation, social media posts, infographics and other templates for any purpose you can imagine. A lot of them are free, but Canva has the same drawback as Crello - the formats for download include only pdf, png, and jpeg.

  1. Projector

Projector features are the same as Canva and Crello have - here you can create social media pictures, annual reports, presentations, pitch decks - but the main difference is style. Projector offers trendy (and even unusual) design templates with abstract shapes, blurry gradients, expressive fonts.

As for the export formats, they include pictures formats, pdf and video.

The official website states that more than 1M users have already tried it and outlined its simplicity. You can also find a reworked Facebook pitch deck there - so do you want to be the next Mark Zuckerberg?

Nice templates, ability to export to non-editable formats and opportunity to use service for free is what offers.

We've taken a look only at 4 most popular services, but all of them have some similar features that include:

  • a wide range of templates,
  • export opportunities,
  • flexibility.

If you need to make a neat presentation for tomorrow morning's meeting, any of the above services will be a great solution. But should we really forget about PowerPoint and Keynote? Not really.

  1. Unfortunately, any template in the world can't include every possible slide - at the end you'll still have to make some totally custom slides yourself.
  2. In case you need to make a branded presentation for your company / startup with a special set of colours and fonts, you still may need to turn to a professional designer or even a team of professionals.
  3. All of the above mentioned services are focused only on the design part - but an impactful presentation starts with compelling storytelling and structuring the information. Do you want to impress the audience? Start with the content - and this is what AI services can't replace yet.

We're Reprezent, a presentation experts. For 7 years on the market we've worked with 500+ clients, including Fortune 500 companies (PepsiCo, 3M, P&G, SalesForce, Phillip Morris, British American Tobacco, JTI), startups and speakers, from 24 different countries.
