An Honest Review of Plant Mother's Vitamin C

16 Nov 2022, 03:24 GMT+10

I've always been a huge fan of serums but, admittedly, I've been rather agnostic when it comes to what types of serums I actually put on my face. When I discovered Plant Mother's 100% Organic Vitamin C Serum, I realized how important were healthy, nutritious ingredients. I'll tell it to you straight: this stuff is very good - and it may be why it has a steep price tag.

What Type of Vitamin C is This?

What is the magic ingredient in this facial oil? You guessed it! Vitamin C. In full disclosure, I bought the facial oil for the smell (it has a lovely earthy smell) and because it has over 20 nourishing botanicals. I admit it made my skin feel soft, but before looking at ingredients I didn't know Vitamin C with niacinamide was actually its main ingredient. As someone who has experienced first-hand the amazing benefits of a facial oil with Vitamin C in it, you can only imagine my enthusiasm for a product that made both niacinamide and Vitamin C its shining star ingredients.

Moreover, this serum has pure botanical Vitamin C from Kakadu plum and plants rich in precious antioxidants. Did you know that Kakadu plum has 55 times more Vitamin C than oranges? I love this! I am obsessed with the smell that the Kakadu plum gives this serum - I would actually wear the scent as a lotion. I love it that much. It's earthy, warm, and has a slight note of plum. The combination of all ingredients provides your skin with some pretty amazing benefits: brightening, evening out skin texture, and fighting lines and wrinkles. What more can you ask for?

How do I use it?

The application of the Plant Mother's Vitamin C Serum couldn't be easier! Simply cleanse, tone (if you want less steps, skip this one), apply the serum. And, the great thing is that you can skip moisturization because this serum will nourish AND moisturize your skin. You can absolutely use the Vitamin C Serum as your main serum if you prefer that! The serum can be used in a variety of ways - here's a breakdown of the different ways you can include it in your morning skincare routine:

Option 1: cleanse, tone, apply Vitamin C serum.

Option 2: cleanse, apply Vitamin C serum.

Make sure you use this Vitamin C serum in the morning and Plant Mother's Retinol serum at night. They go perfectly together! Vitamin C protects your skin during the day and gives it all the wonderful anti-oxidants it needs. Retinol, on the other hand, repairs your skin cells and boosts your collagen overnight. And this retinol is completely plant-based, sourced from bakuchiol and botanical carotenoids rich in natural Vitamin A. These two serums together will provide your skin with all the nutrients, anti-oxidants, and vitamins it needs to thrive and rejuvenate.
